Product Description Imagine a place where there's a queen of all pancakes, a king of cookies and a pack of over-protective dragons. If this sounds like something out of a dream, it actually is! Sleeping Queens was invented by 6-year-old Miranda Evarts, who thought up the game one night when she couldn't fall asleep. She awoke the next morning and with help from her older sister, Madeleine and her parents, Denise and Max created this wonderfully whimsical world of napping nobles. As you immerse yourself in the Evarts's fantasyland, you will find a game that helps develop memory, strategy, and elementary arithmetic skills. Just be careful when playing potion cards or you could wind up putting all the players to sleep! From the Manufacturer A Royalty rousing Card Game. Rise and Shine! The Pancake Queen, The Ladybug Queen and ten of their closest friends have fallen under under a sleeping spell and it's your job to wake them up. Use strategy, quick thinking and a little luck to wake these napping nobles from their royal slumbers. Play a knight to steal a queen or take a chance on a juggling jester. But watch out or wicked potions and dastardly dragon! The player who wakes the most queens wins. Ages 8 . 2-5 layers can play this game in approx.. 15 minutes. Contains 79 playing cards and rules of play in English.

My four year old loves this game and it’s still fun for older siblings and myself that we play together often. This is such a fun game! My kids love it. Its easy to learn and even teaches kids math I highly recommend this card game.It seems like it will be difficult to learn when you read the rules. You can pick up a Dog Queen if you have a Cat Queen, etc. :)But everyone picks it up quickly and then laughs at the silly rules.Fun to play and each hand is pretty quick so you can play as long or as little as you like!I bought this as a gift for my grandsons, they love to play games. They love this game and play it often, even the adults enjoy it.I like that the kids learn to calculte. The paintings are charming. Intersting to adults as well. This is a great game to play with the grandkidsThis game is great for kids and adults. It's easy to pick up after a round or two and simple overall. Collect enough Queens to win! I recommend it for ages 7 and up. Great for 2-4 people to play at once.We love playing Sleeping Queens! The silly characters and interesting actions make it so much fun! I also love that there is a little element of math practice with adding the number cards, keeping track of Queen points, and finding pairs. We bought the game for friends and they love it too. Our sons ages 5-10, as well as adults have all enjoyed playing.‘Sleeping Queens’ – oh my God! This is SUCH an addictive game – I’m already hooked!!I don’t know why, I knew nothing about this Game, its Inventor or anything, but, I’ve been purchasing a great number of Card Games recently, and I saw this, and loved the artwork and just had great ‘vibes’ about it! Not often anything like that happens without even a slight disappointment as things are seldom as you expect, but this... I cannot fault the Game! I just want to keep playing, playing and playing - win or lose! I kept my partner from going to bed the day we got it because I wanted to keep playing, yet I hadn’t won a single game at that point! The mechanics of this Game are simple – yet have enough depth to them to both make it interesting to play, and to make it tactical as well as just ‘luck’! The theme is delightful, and the quality of the artwork and Cards is brilliant! This is one Game in my collection (almost 800 now) that I shall CERTAINLY be wearing out! (I can see myself purchasing another coy in readiness!)There’s got to be something wrong where anyone could not give this five stars - and it has NOTHING to do with the fact it was devised by a child; I didn’t even know that when we first saw and wanted it!Every game is different!FABULOUS and now one of my all-time favourites! :-)This is our favourite game to play as a family. We have gifted it to a couple of friends and would highly recommend it. It has racked up more playtime than any of our other games and often we will play two or three rounds back to back. One game can be about 10-20 minutes. When we first got it we had to play through a couple of times but once it clicked it’s a very easy concept to pick up. It’s been great for teaching about sportsmanship - there’s no point losing your mind if a play goes against you as you might be able to pull it back round later, and you can’t be too hurt by an aggressive play as that’s the whole point of the game. It’s difficult to overstate what a positive impact that has had - turning ‘attacking’ moves into silly, funny moments has eased a lot of tension between my 5 & 7yo and that’s a great thing to learn in board games. My highly motivated, game-loving 5yo picked it up quite easily but it took my less motivated older child a few more goes to get it - thankfully the artwork and characters pulled her in. Even Granny cottoned on after a few plays!Really recommend this game, it’s a lot of fun.Bought this for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas. We’re all into board games and card games already but my daughter is at that in between age that she’s too old for a lot of kids games but too young for our board games. After a bit of research this one kept coming up so thought I’d give it a go. It’s a brilliant game! I actually even like playing it and I’m 32 haha. Highly recommend for kids 6+ and one that won’t drive you crazy as an adult either. 10/10This is our third Gamewright game, and it is the children's favourite age 6 to 12, girls and boys. They are absolutely hooked, we've had it for three months and it's played several times a week. It takes about twenty minutes to play and although the rules seem complicated at first, it's easy to pick up. Bright, quality well illustrated cards. Sleeping Queens, Rat-a-tat-Cat and Go Nuts for Donuts - you can't go wrong. Our cupboards are heaving with all kinds of games, yet this has become a quick favourite since Santa brought it to my 9 year old at Christmas. We all enjoy playing it, even her 11 year old brother and Dad, both of whom usually do everything they can to get out of board games. It's simple to pick up, with just the right amount of boost and jeopardy play, and games are short, so you can take it out for a quick play without committing yourself too much time-wise. Probably one of the best games we've ever bought for the kids, and we've bought a lot.
